Yesterday night I dragged myself out of bed and had dinner at the very cosy Freemans. Wonderful food, great ambience and a good crowd. I even bumped into Björn af Kleen who was sitting at the bar writing…maybe working on a new book?
I was wearing my usual uniform: Coat by House of Holland, Sweater by Helmut Lang, Shoes by Rick Owens, Tights by Whyred, Bag by Hermès, Earring by Maria Nilsdotter.
Freemans has also a boutique for men and a barber, just next to the restaurant, worth cheking out.
I am in NY, in my bed and feeling kind of miserable. I had to cancel everything this week and just rest my voice. Yesterday I visited the very famous Dr. Scott Kessler, who has been taking care of some of the biggest and most famous voices in the industry. He was really sent from above and hopefully now I will slowly get my voice back and feel better. I also got a lot of medication but most of all priceless advices from Dr Kessler I will never forget. SINGERS OUT THERE, if you ever are in NY, visit him, just to check out your vocal chords..believe me, mine are not pretty!
I just woke up to one of my favourite views in the world…The skyline of NY. I am staying at this hotel in the Meatpacking district. Every time I am coming back to NY I get this irrepressible urge to move here. I spend a few fantastic months in the city while recording my first album in 2000. It was really a life changing-experience and I will always love New York.
I have been really sick lately and my vocal chords pretty bad, they still are. A singer’s worst nightmare…I still managed to go through my show on Friday night for SBS Radio in Stockholm. Here is an unplugged version I did with my guitarist Jimmy just before the gig.
Hey guys…this is my favourite room in my house. Small and colourful. I bought this antique desk on a sale and had it painted in red. It’s perfectly matching my JC de Castelbajac carpet.
